We focus on the role of the hypothalamus in the regulation of food intake, such as 1) how high fat diet induce leptin resistance, 2) how estrogen reduce food intake, 3) how the satiety center (the ventromedial hypothalamus) modulate the activity of the arcuate nucleus, generally accepted center of energy metabolism.
Obesity is a big problem to reduce the incidence of diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and other many diseases. Our research is very basic, but our achievement must improve fundamental cues to develop a physiological way to control body weight and medicine to reduce appetite. Please join us to do the exciting research.
