Peace

Why do wars not stop? How many people are in need to their rights? How much does one war cost these days? Twenty million people were killed in the World War II. More than 10 countries in Africa suffer from disasters like famine, and they buy weapons for wars on the same time. Many questions and facts can not be ignored, but man treats them carelessly. Therefore, I believe that living in a peaceful world is a wonderful dream, but it will never become a reality. To know why, I will answer two questions: first, why peace is a hope and second, why such a dream will never occur.

To begin with, there are many reasons why people want peace. First, safety or to live in a safe environment with no war and no blood is an important issue of peace. Moreover, extensive development, like what is happening in Egypt or Germany, comes to mind when one hears the word "Peace". Also, there are many examples of a quality life, like high rate of income, low rate of crimes, good job vacancies, plentiful food, freedom in moving or traveling, and saying what one wants freely become real simultaneously with peace. If one searches any religion, he will find that the word "Peace" exists as a target for who wants to live without problems. These are facts and that is why peace is the dream of many societies.

However, a peaceful world will never become a reality. For one thing, races, religions and customs are many throughout the world, and they are often not compatible. To illustrate, South Africa suffers from violence as a result of a race struggle, the Israeli have fought the Palestinians to establish a Jewish country and the incompatible customs among the Somali or Yemeni tribes have led to civil wars. All of these examples emphasize why peace will never be achieved easily. Also, disasters like famine or drought often combined with overpopulation, are strong incentives for war; for instance, Rwanda has had severe environment conditions and a mushrooming population which has led to civil war. Finally, feelings like hate, jealously and the desire to control create struggles leading to war.

In conclusion, God has created the dreams and the hopes for a peaceful world, but at the same time he has generated other factors causing conflict. Unless the world obeys God's rules, which represent the only method to solve any human problem, no one will find solution to war, and no peace will ever exist.
