The Laws

February, 8, 2005, Takafumi Horie, the president of Livedoor, bought a large number of stocks of Nippon-hoso. He said gI want to cooperate with Nippon-hoso and Fuji-TV to do the business.h, but his real purpose is to get and control Fuji-Sankei group including Nippon-hoso and Fuji-TV. Surely, he obeyed the law of Japanese economy, but he couldnft understand Japanese ethics, morals, and thoughts.
October, 13, 2005, Koji Mikitani, the president of Rakuten, also bought a large number of stocks of TBS and said gI want to cooperate with TBS to do the business.h However, his real purpose is to get and control TBS, too. In other words, Takafumi Horie and Koji Mikitani schemed same things and couldnft understand Japanese ethics, morals, and thoughts.
They studied economics at the university and flourish in the economic world now. However, if you study economics and put yourself into the economic world, your thought is apt to be influenced strongly by American thought. Indeed, American thought to laws is different from that of Japanese. Since they did not understand this difference in fact, they were blamed by everybody. What is really this difference and why did not they notice this difference?
About 200 years ago, many people went to America from various places, for example Europe, Africa and so on, as immigrants or slaves. Later, they started to move west and they finally moved all over America. As a result, their languages, customs, traditions, backgrounds and thoughts were various from person to person. Therefore, the Americans had to make laws to details and must obey these laws strictly in order not to cause troubles. So, if any trouble happens, they tend to deal with the trouble using the laws in a court. On the other hand, in Japan, people have lived there and shared the same language, custom, tradition, background and thought since a long time ago, so they didnft have to make laws in detail. Instead, they judge by ethics, morals, common sense or rules which arenft established as laws but recognized and donft solve troubles in a court so much.
In Japan, there is the word ganmoku no ryokaih which means that what everybody understands is not said specially. Therefore, Japanese can understand the implication of laws unlike American. That is to say, Japanese regard laws as the things which have implications, but American take laws as it is. Because Takafumi Horie and Koji Mikitani didnft understand the difference of recognition to laws, they were criticized by Japanese mass media and economic world, and we, Japanese, were difficult to accept their acts.
America is famous for freedom and free market, so establishment of laws in detail is needed for protecting order, preventing excessive pursue after personal profit and defending personal rights. However, the time when the thought of freedom and free market was carried into Japan is relatively near past time and very quick. Consequently, the education of Japan remains not teaching true freedom and free market, establishment of various laws has not fulfilled demand still more and the Japanese who does not understand true freedom, free market and the implication of Japanese laws takes advantage of the defect of the laws. Therefore, it will be necessary to educate true freedom and free market from childhood in school. Probably, Takafumi Horie and Koji Mikitani might be not perfectly carried out this education.
Recently, the incidents which happen for lack of kindness to other people are increasing. My ideal state of Japanese society is that everyone understands the depth of ethics, morals, common sense, rules and laws which Japanese tend to forget lately and everyonefs comprehensions to the depth keep order. In economic world, people tend to pursue personal profit and Japanese companies need to cooperate with foreign companies to do the business, so establishment of laws is necessary. However, in daily life, establishment of laws to details should become unnecessary in Japan. This state is desirable figure of laws and shows the depth of Japanese culture, and everyone can avoid disagreeable feelings. We must not carry out anything just because it is not against the law.

"Getting It Together
I have ever written English composition about 100 words but havenft written long English essay like this yet, so I took great pains to complete this essay. However, I could get good experience and knowledge, for example the way to construct sentence, paragraph, essay and so on. When I become the senior class or doctor, I want to make use of this good and bitter experience to become a good doctor.
