As is implied by the popular terms like "internationalization", "internet era", "Planet Earth", etc., the 21st century will need more international understanding among the residents of this planet, especially among the present young people, who will be responsible for the next century.In that line, we are CALLING FOR STUDENT ESSAY contributions to the "Young Voices of the World" forum both on the web site "The Young Voices of the World" and in the upcoming volume of the Kuzuryu Memoirs, which is a NON-COMMERCIAL, ACADEMIC collection of college student essays from Japan and other countries.
Writer: university/college students (graduate course inclusive)
Theme: free choice (except for those which might impair international friendship)
Length: preferably 500-700 words (less than 1000 words at most)
Format: any clearly typed manuscript
*DEADLINE: November 30 for the KM publication
Any time for the Young Voices of the World Web Site
Number of essays from one institution: up to 10
(selection will be made according to space available)
Editing: Necessary editing will be made and the copyright will belong to
the publisher.

Publication:
The KM including the "Young Voices of the World" is
published in February and all contributors will receive a copy.
Besides, about 300 copies of the KM are distributed among various
colleges, universities, international exchange centers and such
institutes in Japan and other countries.
(Publication is to be done on our own department budget and the KM
is not to be sold in any way.)
